Frequently Asked Questions & Answers

General Questions

If you're feeling stuck, overwhelmed, anxious, or just ready for a change, therapy could be exactly what you need. Think of it as investing in yourself, your mental health, your relationships, your career, and your overall well-being. You don't have to have to be "going through something" to benefit. Sometimes, it's just about wanting more from life and wanting to show up fully.

A safe, judgment-free space where you can be honest, explore challenges, and get practical guidance. I am your biggest cheerleader and your reality check all in one. No fluff, no nonsense, just real work with real results. Sessions are 50 minutes, and we move at your pace.

That depends entirely on you and your goals. Some people feel relief in just a few sessions while others benefit from ongoing work. Either way, I tailor therapy to your pace and needs. Think of it as your personalized roadmap, not a cookie-cutter program.

Absolutely. High-functioning professionals often look like they've got it all together until they don't. Anxiety, imposter syndrome, stress, relationship challenges, or career transitions? We handle it all, no judgment, just results.

Absolutely! Think of me as a matchmaker for your wellness. I only refer clients to professionals and services that I have personally vetted and trust. This could include psychiatrists, psychiatric nurses, alternative therapists, sleep medicine specialists, dietitians, acupuncturists, or support groups. If I recommend someone, it's because I genuinely believe they can help you show up as your best self.

Insurance and Payment

A 50-minute session is $200, paid at the time of the session. We accept multiple payment methods through Stripe. I offer a free 15-minute consultation so we can see if we're a good fit before you commit. Investing in yourself is worth every penny, and we'll make sure it feels that way.

Great question. I work outside of insurance so I can focus on you, not the paperwork. No limits on session type, length, or frequency. No interruptions if coverage changes. And your sessions stay private. Insurance can be complicated. I keep it simple and all about your growth. Take a moment to review the Fees page when you're ready.

Yes! If your insurance includes out-of-network behavioral health coverage, you may be reimbursed for 60–80% of the session cost after your deductible is met. Your deductible is the amount you need to pay out of pocket for healthcare services each year before your insurance starts reimbursing you.

"Out-of-network" means that while I am not contracted with your insurance company, many plans will still cover part of the cost. I provide a Superbill, a detailed invoice you can submit to your insurance, to make the reimbursement process easy. I have connected with (Mentaya or Reimbursify) so you can easily check your benefits without having to deal with calling your insurance.

If you would prefer to speak directly with your insurance plan, you can usually check your benefits online or call the customer service number on your insurance card and ask about "out-of-network behavioral health coverage" or "out-of-network psychotherapy."

Life happens. Canceling or rescheduling with at least 48 hours' notice comes with no fee. I ask for this notice because it helps minimize the no-shows and allows me to offer openings to other clients who may need support. Cancellations or rescheduling requests made within 48 hours' notice will be charged the full session fee out of respect for everyone's time.

Booking and Sessions

Easy. Schedule your free 15-minute consultation to see if we're a good fit. From there, we'll set up your first session and you'll be on your way to showing up fully in every part of your life.

Privacy and Confidentiality

Yes. Confidentiality is at the core of therapy, and I follow it to a tee. Everything you share in session stays between us. Your privacy is protected by law, and no information is released without your written consent.

There are a few important exceptions required by law:

  • Child, adult, or elder abuse: If there is reason to suspect abuse, I am legally required to report it.
  • Threats to others: If a client threatens serious bodily harm to another person, I must notify the appropriate authorities.
  • Risk of self-harm: If a client intends to harm themselves, I will work closely with them to ensure safety. If they do not cooperate, additional measures may need to be taken.

Outside of these exceptions, your sessions are private. I take confidentiality seriously and make it a priority to create a safe, trusting space where you can be fully open and honest.

Getting the Most Out of Therapy

Then we course-correct. Therapy is a team effort, and your feedback is everything. We can adjust strategies, try new approaches, or zero in on what matters most to you. Progress isn't always linear, but with open communication, we make sure your sessions are always moving you forward. Lastly, if you need something that I cannot provide, I will happily get you connected to the resources you need.
